Legacy Maker – Sachin Bhalerao

As we celebrate METRO GSC India reaching its 15-year milestone, we want to celebrate our people who have a built legacy with us.

Today we share with you the journey of Sachin Bhalerao. Starting his journey over 14 years ago as a Senior IT Infrastructure leader, he now leads the Master Data Management function as Senior Group Manager at METRO GSC India. His journey is rooted in deep belonging, shared purpose, and pride in building what we stand for today.

Over the years, he has been part of many defining milestones, including four major office expansions, but he shares one moment that stands truly pivotal in his career journey. Just before the onset of COVID lockdown, Sachin took on an expanded IT infrastructure role at a time of significant uncertainty. Making bold decisions, embracing calculated risks, and guiding his team through a critical phase, he played a key role in enabling seamless remote operations and strengthening organizational resilience.

Sachin has witnessed METRO GSC evolve from a data processing unit into a trusted service provider and, today, a strategic solution partner aligned with METRO’s sCore goals.

Reflecting on his tenure, Sachin speaks with pride about the journey so far. Working alongside inspiring leaders and talented teams has shaped his growth, challenged him to think bigger, and made his experience at METRO GSC both meaningful and motivating.
