Senior Quality Assurance (Packaging) - Contractual
Job Description
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Conduct detailed quality reviews of packaging designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Ensure packaging designs are accurate, error-free, and meet technical specifications such as dimensions, structural integrity etc.
- Verify that design files (e.g., die-lines, fonts, graphics) are production-ready and aligned with specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment of logos, text, and images according to brand guidelines.
- Work closely with design and production teams to resolve quality issues and recommend design improvements.
- Monitor and analyze defect trends, offering solutions to minimize design errors.
- Develop and implement QA processes, checklists, and tools to streamline packaging reviews.
- Stay updated on packaging industry trends, materials, and innovative quality practice.
Qualifications
Desired Skills and Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience working in package design/advertising agency as a QA of production assets.
- Strong understanding of prepress and print production requirements, including color management, bleed, and die-line preparation.
- Should be comfortable in reviewing content in non-English language like Asian Languages and European languages.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring error-free print and packaging deliverables.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat DC/PRO, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for checking packaging designs.
- Knowledge of printing processes, like offset, digital, flexography etc.
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practices.
