SAP S/4HANA Integration & Partner Systems Manager

Job Description
Your responsibilities
Partner-system dependency management
- Own and maintain an end-to-end view of dependencies between LUCA and the relevant SAP and non-SAP partner systems, covering business processes, data, interfaces, environments, testing, cutover and operational readiness.
- Identify interdependencies early, clarify owners and required decisions, and translate them into traceable milestones, deliverables, assumptions, risks and actions.
- Coordinate dependency planning across LUCA workstreams and partner-system roadmaps, highlighting sequencing constraints and potential impacts on rollout readiness.
- Act as the central coordination point for partner-system integration topics, ensuring that open points are assigned, followed up, escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
Functional and technical integration
- Understand end-to-end Finance processes and assess how changes in LUCA affect upstream and downstream partner systems, business controls and operational activities.
- Facilitate alignment between functional requirements and technical integration design, ensuring that business intent, data needs, processing logic and non-functional constraints are understood by all parties.
- Coordinate the design and implementation of integration scenarios between SAP S/4HANA and SAP or non-SAP systems, including interfaces, data flows, middleware dependencies and migration-related connections.
- Challenge incomplete or inconsistent requirements and support teams in reaching practical, sustainable and reusable integration solutions.
- Ensure integration decisions, interface scope, ownership, dependencies and acceptance criteria are documented and aligned with the LUCA template and rollout approach.
Testing, cutover and readiness
- Coordinate partner-system participation in integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing and defect resolution, with clear entry criteria, test data needs, responsibilities and evidence.
- Ensure cross-system defects are analysed from both functional and technical perspectives and driven to sustainable resolution across organisational boundaries.
- Plan and coordinate partner-system activities within rehearsal and cutover plans, including connectivity, transports or releases, data preparation, interface activation, validation and fallback dependencies.
- Assess partner-system readiness and provide transparent status, risks, decisions and recommendations to the relevant LUCA governance forums.
- Support hypercare and stabilisation by coordinating cross-system issue resolution, monitoring critical dependencies and ensuring effective handover to support organisations.
Governance and stakeholder engagement
- Build effective working relationships with LUCA functional and technical teams, business users, partner-system owners, internal IT providers and implementation partners.
- Prepare and facilitate integration and dependency forums, focusing discussions on decisions, delivery commitments, risks, unresolved topics and upcoming milestones.
- Maintain clear integration documentation, dependency logs, decision records, status reporting and escalation paths using the programme’s agreed tools and standards.
- Communicate complex functional and technical topics in a concise, audience-appropriate manner and create shared understanding between business and technology stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of LUCA integration governance, reusable methods, templates and lessons learned across rollout waves.
Qualifications
Experience and knowledge
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Finance or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in multinational SAP transformation or ERP implementation environments, including participation in at least one full implementation cycle.
- Strong experience coordinating integrations and interdependencies across SAP and non-SAP systems in complex programme landscapes.
- Balanced functional and technical understanding: the ability to follow Finance process discussions while engaging credibly on interfaces, data flows, integration architecture, middleware, environments and testing.
- Good knowledge of SAP Finance processes and modules, particularly subledger processes and their integration points with surrounding systems.
- Experience in cross-system testing, cutover planning, release coordination, defect management and operational readiness.
- Proven ability to coordinate internal IT teams, business stakeholders and implementation partners without relying solely on direct authority.
- Experience with integration and delivery documentation, dependency tracking, risk and issue management, and structured status reporting.
- PMP, SAP or comparable integration certification is advantageous but not required.
Ways of working
- Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect business-process impacts, technology dependencies, data flows and delivery timelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including the ability to structure ambiguity and drive cross-team topics to decisions and closure.
- Clear, articulate and confident communication with both functional and technical stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
- Collaborative and diplomatic approach, combined with the persistence to challenge constructively, secure commitments and escalate when necessary.
- High level of ownership, reliability and attention to detail in a fast-paced, multicultural programme environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English and experience working in a European and multinational business environment.
