Job Title: Cloud Engineer Product: AI Products
Squad: AI & Automation
About the Role
We are looking for an internal candidate with a strong understanding of our Cloud Foundations standards to join the AI Products initiative.
In this role, you will help build and operate new AI-driven applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support Metro use cases and business requirements. You will work within established cloud standards while contributing to the development of scalable, reliable, and production-ready AI products.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow beyond traditional infrastructure responsibilities and move toward a more developer-oriented role, working at the intersection of cloud, automation, and AI.
Responsibilities
•Help design, build, and support AI Products on GCP aligned with Cloud Foundations standards
•Contribute to developing solutions for Metro application use cases and business requirements
•Work with Terraform using internal infrastructure frameworks
•Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
•Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to deliver AI-enabled features
•Ensure reliability, scalability, and adherence to internal cloud guidelines
•Support integration of AI capabilities into applications and workflows
Required Skills
•Strong understanding of internal Cloud Foundations standards and practices
•Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
•Hands-on experience with Terraform
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines
•Familiarity with GitHub Actions
•Strong collaboration and communication skills
•Willingness to learn and evolve toward development and AI-focused work
Qualifications

•Experience with Python
•Exposure to or interest in AI / Machine Learning
•Interest in transitioning toward a developer or platform engineering role
