How you will make an impact?
As part of the FSD Ordering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data landscape that supports product discovery and product decisions the team will take. You’ll help drive fast and informed decisions by delivering reliable, insightful, and actionable data products. Your work will directly influence the development and optimization of key frontend components such as the Shop Homepage, Search Results Page, Product Detail Page, and Customer Portal.
The FSD Ordering team focuses on enhancing the digital shopping experience for both customers and employees. The team's goal is to provide the tools that enable FSD customers to order online what they need, whenever they need it in the Metro FSD eCommerce shop.
The team is responsible for maintaining and evolving core features such as personalized lists, order history, banner management, and catalogue tools, while also supporting discovery and decision-making through robust dashboards and analytics. This includes stabilizing existing reporting infrastructure, enabling proactive insights and ensuring seamless integrations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with central data experts and domain specialists to stabilize and evolve dashboards.
- Build and maintain dashboards that surface business-critical metrics such as order behavior, banner engagement, and search trends.
- Partner with Squad Leads to proactively discover new data use cases and drive initiatives that support product and operational goals.
- Own the scheduling and reliability of queries and dashboards, ensuring consistent performance and data availability.
- Act as a peer and data advisor to cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, product squads, and internal users.
- Translate complex datasets into compelling narratives and visualizations that support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Consolidate and provide customer data to M.SHOP teams, supporting both customer and employee login flows.
- Promote data literacy and empower teams to use data effectively in their daily work.
Qualifications
Required key competencies and qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst role, ideally within agile, cross-functional environments.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with a talent for solving complex problems.
- Expertise in data visualization and storytelling, with hands-on experience using tools such as Looker Studio (preferred), MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with a track record of querying large datasets in BigQuery.
- Solid understanding of centralized data platforms and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, including IAM concepts.
- Familiarity with core statistical concepts, including summary statistics and outlier detection.
- Proactive, self-aware, and customer-oriented mindset, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
